Launching a print edition is not for the faint-hearted (print is a craft) but we always knew that at the end, there’d be a party.
And what a party it was. Around 300 of our friends and the Handful of Salt community joined us to celebrate our launch and the fact that Print Is Not Dead, and to purchase a copy of our glorious print edition. They seemed to have a damned good time.
This was in large part thanks to the glorious space in which we held our event – The NWBLK– and sponsors Hangar One, Trumer Pils, along with the mixology skills and bartending team of Rye on the Road and the mouthwatering artisanal empanadas from El Sur.
We loved it all. With thanks to the entire Handful of Salt team, with a special shout-out to Creative Director Nicole Bemboom, who designed and produced the fabulous edition, the printing teams at Brandes and Autumn Press, and our incredible publicity team at Design Agency Co.
But we want to thank our community who came out and supported us, and most of all we want to thank the people in our first edition for creating the work and the stories that inspired all this in the first place.
